The Allegro 2 Sequencing: Infinity Footbar workshop is designed for Pilates instructors who want to move beyond standard reformer programming and fully understand the architectural potential of their equipment. Taking place on Saturday, February 28 from 12:00–3:00 PM, this continuing education experience is offered both in person and virtually, making it accessible to instructors regardless of location or studio affiliation.
At the center of this workshop is the Allegro 2’s infinity footbar—a feature that fundamentally changes how instructors can approach sequencing, class flow, and exercise variation. Unlike traditional fixed or limited-range footbars, the infinity footbar slides the full length of the reformer and lifts vertically, allowing for an expanded repertoire that most certification programs simply do not cover in depth. This workshop addresses that gap directly, giving instructors the tools to teach with more confidence, creativity, and precision.
Participants will explore how to build thoughtful, contemporary sequences that take advantage of the Allegro 2’s adjustable design. Rather than focusing on isolated exercises, the training emphasizes structured layering, intelligent progressions, and intentional transitions. Instructors will learn how to adapt classical exercises to non-traditional footbar placements, introduce innovative variations, and create seamless class formats that feel cohesive and purposeful rather than experimental.
A key focus of the workshop is how altered footbar positions can challenge balance, coordination, strength, and spatial awareness in ways that traditional reformer setups cannot. By understanding how and why these variables work, instructors gain the ability to design classes that are both athletic and accessible, while still honoring sound movement principles. The result is programming that feels fresh to clients and deeply satisfying to teach.
Attendees can expect a comprehensive breakdown of infinity footbar setup and sequencing concepts, supported by a detailed PDF handout. This resource includes footbar positions, key exercises, and ready-to-use class templates that instructors can immediately bring back to their studios. The workshop also covers strategies for smooth transitions, intelligent progressions, and meaningful regressions, ensuring the material can be applied across a wide range of client abilities and group class environments.
For instructors who prefer hands-on learning, the in-person option will be held at Pilates of Charleston and offers the opportunity to work directly on the equipment in a collaborative studio setting. The virtual option, hosted live on Zoom, delivers the same educational content and sequencing insight, making it an ideal choice for instructors who are traveling, teaching remotely, or based outside the Charleston area.
Two registration options are available for this workshop. The virtual workshop on Zoom is priced at $59 and provides live access to the full three-hour training. The in-person workshop at Pilates of Charleston is available for $99 and includes hands-on instruction in the studio. Both options are currently open for registration, and space for the in-person event is limited.
Allegro 2 Sequencing: Infinity Footbar is more than a repertoire workshop—it is an opportunity to rethink how you use your reformer, deepen your understanding of movement architecture, and expand your teaching vocabulary. Whether you attend in person or online, this workshop is designed to elevate your group reformer programming and help you unlock the full versatility of the Allegro 2.
